DESCRIPTION:\nCross-Cultural Connections and Spectrum are bringing in Dr. Jermisha Frazier to lead a poetry workshop highlighting the writing of prominent Black\, queer women. Focusing on the intersection of three identities\, how they come together to create change\, visibility\, and community\, has impacted our academics and activism for generations. We will be discussing brief examples of Black\, queer writing of women\, as well as giving students the opportunity to write about their own identities and gain inspiration from the content and craft elements utilized by our featured poets and poems. \n\n\n\n\nArticulate and express what your identity means to you \n\n\n\n\n\nDiscuss various interpretations of literature across intersecting identities. \n\n\n\n\n\nLearn from a professional how to ethically write about identities one does not possess. \n\n
