DESCRIPTION:\nCross-Cultural Connections\, in collaboration with the Catholic Student Center will be organizing an ofrenda to celebrate Día de los Muertos. Our staff will be leading an activity decorating sugar skulls.\n\n\n\nConnections to NACE Competencies:\n\n\n\nSample Behaviors\n\n\n\n\nEquity & Inclusion #6\n\n\n\nEquity & Inclusion #4\n\n\n\nCommunication #3\n\n\n\n\nProgram Goals: Cross-Cultural Connections provides students a space to honor Dia de los Muertos each year with the creation of a community Ofrenda. Our staff aim to identify resources and eliminate barriers resulting from individual and systemic racism\, inequities\, and biases. The Ofrenda is open to all students\, and we hope that students who do not personally honor this day will be encouraged to seek global cross-cultural interactions and experiences that enhance one’s understanding of people from different demographic groups and that leads to personal growth.\n
